You work at home and have a problem with a piece of equipment that you use for your job.
Write a letter to the shop or company which supplied the equipment in your letter.
• Describe the problem with the equipment
• Explain how this problem is affecting your work
• Say what you want the shop or company to do

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to complain about a scanner that I have recently bought from your shop. The problem is with the quality of the scanned documents. The scanner has two modes of operations which are High quality and Low Quality. The scanned documents appear fine on my computer's monitor, but the printed pages are very bad that cannot be used. I have used both operation modes and several different printers but the outcome is the same.

This problem caused significant damage to my job. My supervisor was not able to print the report that I sent to him. As a result, I missed a deadline that I was supposed to submit my report by then.

I would like that this matter to be solved urgently. I am not sure if there is something wrong with the scanner settings or it is faulty. So please send your technicians to check the device and if it is faulty, I would like it to be replaced.

Yours faithfully,
John Louis
