Your child is going on a three day school trip to another country The head teacher wants to find parents to go with the group and you would like to go Write a letter to the head teacher In your letter Say why you would like to go on the trip Suggest what

Dear Sir,

I am writing to express my profound interest to join the excursion trip to Malaysia. My daughter is studying in Grade 6 and will be going for this 3 day trip to Malacca. Although, I do not wish to stress her with my presence, but this would be an incredible experience for both of us.

Firstly, I have been to Malacca on various occasions and am quite familiar with the places of interest such as tourist destinations, food and beverages, street markets for shopping and accommodation. Therefore, you will not be required to arrange a tourist guide to assist. Secondly, Malacca is rich in culture, there are certain restrictions in some places and I will be able to address them immediately. As some rules are expected to be followed without signages or information. Thus, you will not be liable for any consequences arising from not abiding the rules. Lastly, I will be able to share my experiences with all children so that they can enjoy and learn more than expected.

Finally, I would be keen to know if parents who volunteer need to pay for trip? Also, will the accommodation be arranged by the school management?

Looking forward for your swift response.

Yours sincerely,
Nur Amirah
