Your local council is considering closing a sports and leisure centre that it runs, in order to save money.
Write a letter to the local council. In your letter
• give details of how you and your friends or family use the centre
• explain why the sports and leisure centre is important for the local community
• describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closes
DEAR SIR,
I AM WRITING THIS LETTER REGARDING YOUR ABSURD DECISION TO SHUT DOWN THE SPORTS AND LEISURE CENTER. I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED TO KNOW ABOUT THE UNCERTAINTY AND WOULD LIKE YOU KNOW OUR VIEWS ABOUT THE SAME,
I WASN’T A FITNESS PERSON EARLIER. HOWEVER, WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF CLUB IN OUR SOCIETY, IT CHANGED ME, MY FAMILY MEMBERS AND NEIGHBORS ATTITUDE TO A GREATER EXTENT. WE HAD STARTED LEARNING AND PRACTICING ONE OF THE ACTIVITIES. WE USED TO SPEND ALMOST AN HOUR EVERYDAY INDULGING IN LEISURES DOWNSTAIRS.
AS A RESULT OF THIS, WE COULD SEE A DRASTIC CHANGE IN THE QUALITY OF OUR HEALTHY. IT WAS NOT ONLY HELPING US TO STAY FIT BUT ALSO ACTING AS REFRESHMENT. FURTHERMORE, THIS PLACE ALSO HELPED US TO MEET OUR SOCIETY MEMBERS AND SOCIALISE WITH THEM. IN FACT, THE CENTER HAD BECOME AN AID TO CONNECT PEOPLE. THEREFORE, I BELIEVE CLOSURE OF IT WILL AFFECT OUR LIFESTYLE AS WELL AS SOCIAL LIFE. VANDALISING THE EASE THAT HAD PROVIDED TO STAY HEALTHY WOULD AFFECT THE MEMBERS DRASTICALLY.
I BELIEVE THERE MAY BE SOME LOGICAL REASONS FOR SUCH ABRUPT DECISION. NEVERTHELESS, A PROBLEM SHARED ISP PROBLEM HALVED. IN OTHER WORDS, YOU CAN CONDUCT A MEETING ALONGWITH THE CLUB MEMBERS TO ADDRESS THE TROUBLESOME SITUATION. AS A RESULT OF THIS, MAY BE WE COULD FIND WAY OUT OBSTRUCT THE INRORDINANCE. I HOPE YOU WILL TAKE MY SUGGESTION INTO CONSIDERATIONS AND WORK UPON IT.
YOURS FAITHFULLY,
