Your local council have asked locals suggestions in how to keep the city cleaner. Write a letter to council.
In the letter, you should:
explain what the council can do
what the people can do
tell how the community will benefit by keeping the city clean
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter in response to your "Clean City Campaign" and would like to provide some valuable suggestions about it.
To begin with, council members have a vital role to play here for the successful completion of this campaign. As several resources are available to them, it would be easier for them to execute this project. The provision of heavy machinery, such as trucks, lorries, and lifters, can be used to remove trash that is accumulated in residential areas. Without these machines, it would be impossible to perform cleaning activities.
Individuals have also an important part in it. Firstly, people ought to create awareness among other people regarding the hazards of littering. People can also perform some activities voluntarily with the authorities, such as helping to place trash bins on roads. Since the majority of people do not throw their waste in public waste bins, this increases problems for local authorities to collect it; therefore, individuals should identify those who do not follow the rules and regulations of discarding waste and report them to the council.
It would also be beneficial for the community. This is because rubbish is the root cause of countless diseases among people. Due to the increase of discarded items on the roads, some diseases have become prevent amongst children in the last few years, for example, diarrhea and vomiting. According to health experts, clean environment affects the overall wellness of a person, both mentally and physically.
I hope that you find the above recommendations worthwhile for the execution of this great work.
Yours faithfully,
Salman Khan
