Your local newspaper is offering an award for people who have helped the community. Write a letter to the newspaper editor. In your letter
suggest someone you think should receive the award
describe what the person does to help the community
suggest an award that would be appropriate for this person
You should write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter in response to the advertisement which was published yesterday i.e on 16th April 2020. Firstly, you are doing a fantastic job in recognising the persons, who serve the community in their own way and awarding them.
Well, I am an early bird, who goes for morning walks in the outskirts of the city. It is almost at the end of the city. So, I happen to see an elderly person, aged around 60 years, serving and protecting the plants and trees, as they are neglected by community officials.
I have watched him closely since the past 8 years and I am quite surprised towards his dedication and enthusiasm in protecting the environment. This person is very kind and down to earth who always goes an extra mile to help the needy.
Now, doing such kind of service at his age is something unimaginable and could be an ideal for the young juvenile of our country. I would suggest this person to be awarded something proper like "One Man Army" for his unconditional love towards the society.
Thank you for asking our suggestions.
Yours Faithfully,
Ramya Sai Bacha
