Your neighbor is a musician who practices the piano during the day. Sometimes the sound of his playing causes problems for you, especially when you need to study at home.
Write a letter to your neighbor. In your letter
- Explain that the sound of his piano playing is very loud in your apartment
- Describe how his practicing affects you
- Suggest a solution that might work for both of you
Dear Mr. Avery,
I am writing to you in connection with your piano sound reaching my apartment through our shared wall. First of all, I am a fan of your music and a great admirer of your artistic knowledge.
As you know, I am currently studying masters degree and preparing for the final exam which is commences in a month. I understand that, you need to keep practicing in order to keep your skills sharper, but continuous sound sometimes overbearing and am not able to concentrate on my studies. Also, I had numerous sleepless nights because of this sound pollution.
It would be great, if you could move the piano from your living room to the other end of the house, and if possible could you please avoid practicing in the night times so that I can rest well. During morning hours, I will study in my college library so that you can practice.
I look forward to your positive reply.
Yours sincerely,
Bala
