The line graph details the consequences of the survey conducted in five distinct Australian cities about inhabitants’ coffee and tea purchase and consumption habits. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the majority of people in five cities went to a café to drink coffee or tea in the last four weeks, while the percentages of citizens who bought fresh coffee were the lowest. Melbourne had the highest proportion in three categories and Adelaide accounted for the lowest.
Looking more specifically, although the proportion of people buying fresh coffee in Sydney was slightly higher than that in Melbourne, the number of residents who bought instant coffee, which was nearly 45%, in Sydney was lower than the figure for Melbourne (about 57%). Similarly, people in Melbourne made up 64%, being marginally higher than those in Sydney.
Turning to the remaining cities, in Brisbane and Adelaide, just under 35% of inhabitants went to the shop to buy cafe and tea, whereas more people in Hobart did that (37%). For residents who bought fresh coffee went to the café , Hobart constituted the highest numbers (54% and 63%) while Brisbane accounted for 53% and 55%, respectively, and the last cities made up the lowest figures, which were 50% each
