Overall, total number of visitors travelling to island was the highest in the year 2017, and the least in 2010 year. The visitors staying on cruise ships accounted for largest number in the year 2017.
To begin with the people staying on island, there was a plateau phase in the 1 year period of 2010 and 2011 around 0.75 millions. Gradually the number of visitors started slightly rising slowly uptil 2013 to 1.5 millions. From 2013 to 2015 there was again a levelling up of the visitors at 1.5 millions. However, after 2015 there was a gentle decline in the visitors till the year 2016 that is around 1.25 millions considerably, followed by slight increase in the number in the year 2017 upto 1.5 again.
The travellers staying on cruise ship showed fluctuation in the starting year 2010 upto 2012 and there was a slow rise in their number from 0.5 millions to 2 millions respectively which was the highest in the year 2017.
Stocking up on the visitors travelled more with passing time in the cruise and islands.
