After working in your department for over 3 years, you feel the need to switch your department.
Write a letter to your boss requesting a change in the department. In the letter mention:
• Why do you want to switch departments? • Which department would you prefer? • Why do you think you are a good fit in that department?
Dear Sir,
Hope you are doing well. I am writing in reference requesting for mobility to another department. Let me explain the reasons for the subtle change.
As you are aware that before joining Zeta Wireless I had an experience of nearly 8 years in the technical domain. Although working as Solution consultant with a Zeta has not only provided valuable insights on the technical side but also on commercial aspects of business transactions hence I believe that it is a right moment to change my department as the present role is becoming monotonous and less challenging.
The role I am interested in is in the sales department as I always had a keen interest to work in a sales function. I believe with a strong techno-commercial knowledge of satellite market specifically in Asia I would be able to immensely contribute and increase business transactions which will help the company not only in increasing overall revenue but also increase the penetration index. Additionally, I know most of the vendors in the satellite industry so this relationship will help in increasing the overall profits on deals.
Thus I look forward to your approval on the change in the department.
Yours sincerely
Ben
