some people view giving presents as an important way to show care to family and friends. other thinks there are many important things that can be done to show care and appreciation. discuss both the views and give your opinion
Love and care are two important ingredients of any relationship. There are many way to show these feelings to our dear ones. Some people finds present giving as most appropriate way to show appreciation, while other thinks there are many other ways to do so. I personally also believe that gifts are not the only way to show our love and care. In this essay, I will discuss both the views and provide statements that supports my belief.
First of all, gifts are token of love, everyone loves to receive gift. We exchange gifts on many occasions such as mother's day, valentine's day, Christmas , birthdays, anniversaries and so on.We always give presents to those whom we love.It takes a lot of effort to choose a perfect gift for the receiver, which shows our love. For an instance , if i have to give a birthday gift to my sister, i would collect her pictures and make a beautiful photo-collage to gift her. we do so , only if we love the person who receives the gift. Gifts can also be collected and stored as memories to be cherished later.
On the other hand, Gifts are wastage of money, if the receiver does not like it or need something else more necessarily.Just an example, If my nephew needs financial help for college admission and I gift him a branded watch, it will be of no use to him, he would be more delighted if I assist him for college admission. Lets take another example, I love my grand mother a lot hence I always accompany her to visit hospital and take proper care of her. Such acts of routine helps and care also represents our love and respect to our dear ones.
In conclusion, Although people love to exchange gifts in our day-to-day occasions but there are many other ways to express our love and appreciation. In my opinion, gifts are not only way to express our feelings.
