Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
At universities and colleges, sports and social activities are just as important as classes and libraries and should receive equal financial support.
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Usually, students start social and sports activities in earlier in their school days and these activities are integrated into his course as the extracurricular activity. Some students aim to be a sportsperson in their school days and they get admission in universities as sports quota students. In America students who were good footballer get admission to a good university as an exceptional sports student, sometimes with scholarships. Sports engrossed part of college life. Every University has its own sports club.
Sports activities are needed not only to build a fit physics or a good mental strength, but also sports are nowadays a path to of income or another job option. We all know that a sports person income way much than a pure academic researcher. As for the social activity, social activities are the window to the other side of the world for the students. By socialize students get rid of the boredom from their daily lives.
Social activities like hiking with friends or camping build strong relationships with other students, or by organizing a blood donation camp or some social awareness camp outside the college campus gives an opportunity to the students to socialize with the people of the city. Socializing events like going to the pub or some concert is an option for students to understand the lifestyle of the local peoples.
Sometimes, university students don't get the time to practice the sports or socialize with friends, as PhD students sometimes students work on their thesis even on Sundays and thus they don't get the time to take part in some to social events or practice sports and that could sometimes become harmful for them. Sports activities and social events are integrated part of our life without any doubt. Every student should take part in sports and social events but making that obvious for university students that would create pressure on their lives, as there is much coursework already in their shoulder and to force them to do something would be unethical.
