Is it more important to be able to work with a group of people on a team or to work independently? Use reasons and specific examples to support your answer.
Working Is an important part of our lives. As we spend big time in our daily life at work, we always try to make our work successful and joyful. Some people think it is better to work with a group of people on a team, others prefer to work independently. In my view, it is much better to work on a team. I will try to elaborate on the notion behind this in the next few words.
First, working on a team is definitely more effective. When a group of people works together, they may get benefits from their different skills. Moreover, working on a team has fewer mistakes and more new ideas. For instance, last year, I was working as an intern doctor with a group of other interns in the University Hospital. The professor asked us to translate a research study and give a presentation about it. The study was huge, so it was impossible for one person to finish all of the work alone. We decided to organize the workload between us. So, five of us did the translation part, and another one, who was the best in English, controlled our work. Another intern, who was fast at typing, made the slides. Finally, one of us did the presentation at the meeting. It was very successful and we got great marks. Eventually, working with a group of people is much better.
Second, Working on a team is more fun than working alone. As we can break the routine with different activities, We can have a great time during work. Humans always tend to be social and to be with other people. For example, my father is working at an international company with a team of five people. He tends to spend a lot of time with his workmates. Last month, he had to work in a different position for three weeks. Although he was working within the same company, he struggled a lot during these three weeks. He was feeling bored most of the time and tried a lot to go back to work with his friends. He used to be very active and to be the first one at work. However, when he had to work alone, he started to be late and lazy at work. As a result, working with a team is clearly better than working alone.
