In the rrwading stated about that Broccli ususally grown in West of America such As North of America because of suitable environment to grwoth and reproduction. On the other hand another region such east coast is one the sink for consume of broccli that si very far-reaching to transpoprt. Also, In the article stated that maybe it possible to growth of this crop in east coast and will be decrease of high cost of transportation while the summer is very hot to growth. In the lecture professor elaborate her disagreement about this atricle by some reason that as follows.
to begin with, IN the rading stated that if the broccli growth in east coast. the cost of produciton and transportation will be decreased and will a low cost broccli availabe for resident of east coast. In the lecture professor asserted that it is possible to growth broccli but the yield and qulaity is very low to compared to west broccoli. In the west filed the production of this crop is high and it will be cost effective for consumer to use this crop for east coast resindent in spite of cost of transportation.
Moreover, breeders can put soem long term for breeding of broocoli for tolerant and growth in high temperate location such as east coast by bring some usefull genes, traditional teqniques. On the other hand, there are some deliberation about this genetic modified cropss by consumer. In tehe lecture , the speaker rejected this idea becasue the breeding this palnt is very expensive and very a long-shot process. In addition, this process need a high technology and sophisticaed procedur to follow.
Finally, the reading claimed that the fresh broccoli will be content a lot of vitamin and healthy product but when it transported to high distance, the content of healthy compound will decreased. on the other hand, the speaker rebuts because in the east coast there are some native crops that have a lot of healthy compund even more that broccoli that need to pay attention. They can repleace this crop instead of broccli.
In conclude, for all of the reason the professor asseted the growth of broocoli in tthe east coast not profitable for farmer and consumer.
