The reading material discusses about the Voynich manuscript which is written in uncoded script and the three possible theories that has been proposed for explanation.In the lecture, professor makes a series of points that cast doubt on all the theories and arguments presented in the reading passage. He states none of these theories are applicable and correct.
First of all, Anthuny Ascham proposed as the author of the maniscript was an ordinary physicion and scientist not a very genius person. He could wright about some herbal plant and their role in treatment which could be a well known source. So it would be unlikely to write something genius and magical and the theory is not correct.
Moreover, the professor refutes the possibility of making fake maniscript to make money by selling it to nobles at that time. He states it is unlikely to make complex code book just for making money. In fact, people at that time were very easy to fool and there was no need to make such a complex codes script to fool them and make money. He believes if it would be a fake one it would be much simpler which did not need any effort and energy to make it.
Lastly, the speaker refutes the idea of fake creation of the maniscript by Voynich by presenting dating methode for date the items from the past. He states by this modern method it was clear that ink was originated from 400 years ago which can not be a work of Voynich.
