In 1912 a bookseller named Wilfrid M. Voynich acquired a beautifully illustrated handwritten book (manuscript) written on vellum (vellum is a material that was used for writing before the introduction of paper). The "Voynich manuscript," as it became kno

The reading material discusses about the Voynich manuscript which was written on vellum and in code. The author proposes three possible writer for it .In the lecture, professor makes a series of points that cast doubt on possibility of each of the proposed writers presented in the reading passage. He states none of these could be the maniscript's writer.
First of all, the lecturer refutes the Anthuny Ascham as author of manuscript which was proposed in the passage. He says Anthony was an ordinary physicion and scientist not a very genius person and his other work showed his capabilities. So for him would be unlikely to write something genius and magical. Therefore, the possibility of being writer was rejected .
Moreover, the professor refutes the possibility of making fake maniscript by Kelly to make money by selling it to nobles at that time. He states it is unlikely that he made complex code book just for making money. Professor clarifies people at that time were very easy to fool and there was no need to make such a complex script code to fool them and make money. He believes if it would be a fake one it would be much simpler which did not need any effort and energy to make it.
Lastly, the speaker refutes the idea of fake creation of the maniscript by Voynich. He points out that by dating methode nowadays it is easy to date the items from the past. He states by this modern method it was clear that ink was originated from 400 years ago which can not be definitely a work of Voynich.
