Archaeologists problem to study artifacts
The author enumerates some possible problems to indicate that studying cultural artifacts is encountered with numerous limitations. The lecturer, however, refutes the presented idea in the reading by mentioning some counterclaims since she firmly believes that some new rules, enact in 19th, made big changes in the field and improved many things.
First, the author claims that a myriads of artifacts have not been discovers or they were destroyed due to a lot of constructions have be done in recent decades. Nonetheless, the professor withdraws the statement and points out a portion of the novel guide line. She alludes to the point that before excavating the locations in the Great Britain, the site must be examined by archaeologists. In the next step, the organization and government should collaborate with each other in order to make plan to preserve the artifacts. In addition, the construction cannot be proceeded before paving the steps.
Second, according to the reading, there is not much enough support for archaeological research, on the grounds that most fund is allocated by governments. On the contrary, the speaker casts doubt on the assertion. She posits that based on the new rule, the money, for doing research in a given site, is paid by construction companies. She adds that they allot initial expense. For this reason, new sources of funds have been found than were not present in the past.
Third, the reading asserts that it is too cumbersome to fine a career in the field of archaeology, and many researchers change their major and job. Conversely, the lecturer holds the opposite viewpoint since she thinks that there are a majority of positions which did not exist in the past. She argues that researchers are involved in a wide variety of stages, including site examination, making plan, writing article, and so forth. Hence, there is an increase in the number of positions available for archaeologists highest amount than has been till now.
