While the reading passage emphasizes the idea that the Euro currency brought many benefits to the European Union, the professor suggests that opinion which the author made is outdated and written in a optimistic way.
According to the text, the Euro keeps market prices stable between only the EU countries because they do not require to exchange money. In contrast, the speaker tells us that if they do business with the countries outside of EU, it would not be the matter to them. For example, China and UK have different currency thus they need to convert money therefore value of currency would be changed.
The other point discussed by both the author and speaker is about a tariff. Whereas the lecturer made the point that the Euro is stable and led us to do international trading therefore there are less risks to get loss suddenly. However, the Euro have not given us notable change yet because many countries have already had international business before they accepted common currency. The professor says that it would be easier to do import and export but not much advantages for us.
Finally, the writer depictes that the Euro facilitates people to work another country with minimal financial risk. On the other hand, the lecturer tells there has not been restrict so migration is not rare anymore. She thinks that the reason why many people try to get a chance to move to another country is not currency.
