dinosaurs endotherm

Essay topics:

dinosaurs endotherm

The reading and the lecture are both about dinosaurs. The author of the reading believes that dinosaurs were endotherm. The lecturer casts doubt on the claims made in the article. She says that there is not accurate evidence that dinosaurs were endotherm.
First of all, the author points out that one of the evidence that dinosaurs were endotherm is that their fossils were found in polar regions. It is mentioned that endotherm can only survive in polar regions. This point is challenged by the lecturer. She says that polar regions were warmer than they are today. Furthermore, she argues that dinosaurs migrate to warmer regions when was too cold.
Secondly, the author contends that the legs of the dinosaurs were positioned underneath its body such as endotherm. The lecturer rebuts this argument. She says that their legs were positioned underneath its body to support their weight not for running like other endotherms.
Finally, the author states that Haversian canals are characteristic of endotherm. The article establishes that dinosaurs had these Haversian canals. The lecturer, however, posits that had growth rings which were evidence for their growth. She puts forth the idea that endotherm does not have these growth rings.
In conclusion, the lecture and the reading are both about dinosaurs and their evidence that they were or were not endotherm. The professor effectively challenges the claims made in the article.
