Dinosaurs endothermic
Both reading and lecture talk about dinosaurs. Whereas, the author mentions that dinosaurs are endothermic. On the other hand, the lecturer refutes this claim and says that dinosaurs are not endothermic. He points out the claims of the author by citing three reasons below.
First, according to the passage, it is stated that dinosaur’s fossils were found in polar regions. this claim proves that dinosaurs are endothermic based on the author thoughts; therefore, the lecturer refuses this line of thought and attests that finding of fossils does not prove the claim that dinosaurs are endotherm. He adds that according to the cold weather, dinosaurs might have moved from other places to polar regions.
Secondly, the author believes that having underneath legs shows that dinosaurs are endothermic; however, the professor rebuts this opinion and alleges that having underneath legs does not prove the idea that says dinosaurs are endothermic. He expresses that being underneath legs have other explanation such as growing the size of dinosaurs. He states that because dinosaurs have great weight; thus, underneath legs help them to grow in size.
Finally, it is mentioned in the passage that a connection between endotherm and bone structure shows that dinosaurs are endothermic. the author says that endothermic animals have Haversian canals that trigger dinosaurs grow quickly; nevertheless, the professors denies this point of assertion and says that the pattern growth of dinosaurs during warm and cols period evident enough to held the claim that the dinosaurs are not endothermic.
To sum up, it is claimed in the passage that dinosaurs are endotherm that warm or cold weather do not influence on their growth; furthermore, the lecturer rejects this line of explanation and says that research show that dinosaurs are not endothermic. He brings three compelling reasons which refute the words of the author.
