The professor casts doubt on the points made by the author which is about the Roman empire Claudius. According to this novel, this king is know as the strongest empire in the history, on the other hand, the speaker states that he is weak as a leader. The following reasons support professor's opinion.

The first point is Claudius did contribute to the society and his realm by innovations such as building a harbor and legislation for slaves. Claudius is refered as a pioneer and fair person in the text because his achives led citizens life way better than before. However, the professor gave examples that he was not good person at all. He ordered army to assacianate previous empire and this caused army kept doing bad circumstance after his reign too. Moreover, he liked violence so he made allowed the idiot game to show their violences in a game and he personally had fun.

The second reason is that his wisdom caused collaption between their community. In the novel, the ancient authors against Claudius because he was not choosen by the Senate. So, he was an dogmatic empire at that time. The issue he was devoted was changing the slaves community and expand their opportunity however his wife poisened him on his foods and his son became worst king later his death. The professor argues that it is hardly to say that his work was responsible and as a successer. Hence, Claudius should not be considered as a good empire in the history.
