The professor and the author are both talking about Endotherms animal. According to the reading passage, dinosaurs are suspected as endotherms however the speaker refutes this opinion. The follow three points made in the lecture support her opinion.

First of all, the lecturer says that even we have found the dinosaurs fossils in polar area, it was not a cold much. The author thinks that the dinosaurs as reptiles could not maintain their body temperature. However, the professor casts doubt about they might migrate to warm region or even hiberate when it gets colder in the winter.

Second, about leg position and movement. It has been considerated as to sustain their physical activities such as running but the professor claims that the legs are needed to support their body weight because they are know as large creature.

Lastly, the speaker states that there is a structure called Haversian canals which is helping them to grow quickly. Moreover, it has shown that the main fact of endothermy characteristic. As the professor says that there is one more structure the dinosaurs have called growth rings. Usually, growth rings let them grow slowly during the cold period. Hence, the dinosaurs take time to become larger.

In conclusion, the professor disagrees with the ideas made in the reading passage.
