Enviroment

The author of the reading believes that let it burn policy in situation like Yellowstone national park was a negative point, the , however, finds this idea dubious and casts doubt on the reasons proposed by the reading passage.
First of all, the author argues that the let it burn policy in Yellowstone turned the park to the devastated wasteland because it burnt for more than two months and spread over a huge area and caused a large scale of damage to trees and green life . Conversely, the lecturer brings up the idea that it helped the vegetation by colonizing new plants and growing some certain plants because some small plants need open space for themselves and their seeds.
Secondly, the reading passage holds the view that the policy had bad effects on wildlife because many animals were unable to scape and it caused a destruction in the food chain. On the contrary, the professor underlines the fact that animal population recovered and the park turned into a ideal habitat for some animals like rabbits and certain food chain got stronger.
Finally, it is stated in the article that tourist attraction was effected as well as the rest of things and in result the local economy and local business got into problems and tourism season cut short. In contrast, the speaker dismisses this issue due to the fact that the chaos did not happened every year and that was only for one time so in this case the tourists came back next year and each year after that.
