Grades encourage students to work harder at school. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.
School is a very important part of our life. This is where we get knowledge. Some people believe that grades motivate the students to do better in their academic, others would disagree. In my view, I firmly convinced that grades encourage students to do better in their studies for two reasons.
To begin with, It motivates the students. For example, when I was in high school my friend Neha she always used to get A grade in all subjects and their parents felt so proud of her. I always wanted to get good grades to make feel my parents proud. So I did start to work hard, I used to study a lot. After a couple of months of hard work, I got A grads in my all subjects. Even I got nominated as the best hard-working student in my class. I was so happy that my parents were proud of me. This grad system at school keeps me motivated to do better in my academics. This example describes the reasons why I would love to have a grad system in school.
Moreover, it decides our ability. Depend on our performance we get grad which shows our understanding of the subject and knowledge. For instance, my brother uses to get A grads throughout his college. He was a very hard working and motivated student. His teachers ask him to work as a teaching assistant to help other students. Because he was good at his studies. They ask him to give an entrance exam to pursue a doctor’s degree and he did clear that exam. Because of the grade he was getting in his study teachers know his ability so they encourage him to go for a higher degree. If there were no grade system teachers don’t know our capacity. This example taught me that grades help us to do better in our life.
In sum, various perspectives and viewpoints exist on this issue, I am convinced that grades motivate students. Not only, it will encourage them but also decide our capabilities.
