Integrated essay TOEFL, sea otter

The lecture opposes the main idea of the reading passage and logically disputes all the specific points that the reading presents. The reading states that sea otters population of the Alaskan coast rapidly declining, and it says that there are two hypotheses that can be the reason for this ecological event: environmental pollution or attacks by predators.
However, the professor in her lecture refutes this argument and challenges all the supportive reasons presented in the reading.
First, the lecture presents a different point of view about the first point in the reading section. The reading section mentions that pollution was caused by the sources along the Alaskan coast, such as oil rigs has increased the level of the chemical that could sicken the sea otters and make them more prone to infectious diseases and cause their death. In contrast, the lecturer claims that pollution hypothesis is weakened by the reason that there are no dead sea otters on the coastline of Alaskan, and she says that the decline of the population of sea otters is most likely by predators because they hunt the sea otters and they eat them so it is really hard to find the dead sea on the coast. So, the lecture presents an opposite explanation for it.
Secondly, the professor refers to the next point discussed in the reading. According to the reading passage, aside from sea otters, there is a decline in the population of the other sea mammals like sea lions and seals, so whatever is affecting the sea otters population decrease is affecting all the sea mammals as well. Nevertheless, the lecturer states that orcas originally feed on wales, but because of the increase in human hunting whales, orcas started eating other sea mammals as well. so there is a decline in their population as well as sea otters.
Finally, the lecture addresses the third point of the reading section. The reading claims that there is an uneven pattern in decreasing the population of sea otters, in some areas the population declines, and in some other areas it is stable. However, the lecture refutes this claim, explaining that this uneven patterns can be described by the pattern of hunting orca whales! They can not swim in shallow waters and in these areas the population remains the same but in the areas that are accessible to orcas the sea otter population declines as sea lions and seals.
