The reading and listening are about the hospitability of human on Venus where author claims that it's hard to maintain life on Venus but the lecturer suggest some points that can make a survive on Venus.
Firstly, the author disagree with the chances of survive on Venus by mentioning the atmospheric pressure which is 60 times greater than Earth. Also, it can crushed anything within one hour of landing. The professor rebuts this suggestion by suggesting a physical fact about atmospheric pressure that by establishing floating stations on Venus's surface can manage the pressure on Venus. As higher in the atmosphere, lower in the pressure is well known fact.
Additionally, the author count point of zero survival on Venus by clamming the absence of oxygen, water and atmosphere also. Abundance of carbon dioxide, nitrogen and sulfuric acid erase the possibility of life on Venus. The lecturer suggest that instead of importing, water and oxygen can be produced by the chemical reaction of carbon and sulfuric acid.
Finally, the author mention that possibility of electricity on Venus is null as only 40 percent of sunlight enter in the Venus's cloudy atmosphere. But the professor oppose this suggestion by saying that reflecting stations can be used to reflect the sunlight back to surface. Then by using solar power cells electricity can be produced.
