methods for preventing frogs from extinction
The discussed issue is about inhibiting frog species from extinction. Several methods have been proposed to account how we can prevent the reduction of frog population. however, the professor questioned these methods.
First, a chemical substance which is using by farmers in order to eliminate insects from farm crops is detriminal for frogs. It is assumed that, this chemical material has entered to the habitate of the frogs and it has killed considerable numbers of frogs and researchers have proposed that a law should be presented in order to prevent the farmers from using this substance. However, this action is not economicaly practicable. In fact, there is a competition between farmers fro selling their products in the markets and this action will reduce the quality of crops which farmers are going to sell in the market. Thus, preventing farmers from using Pesticides for eradocating insects from farmland may have sever disadvantageuos.
Further, one reason associated with the reduction of frogs is the distribution of Fungus. This phenomenon has made the frogs body vulnarable to the enviroment by thicking their skins and it maks frogs dying from lack of hydration absorbed by their skins. In addition, researchers have proposed a treatment for frogs in order to make their body more stroge against this infection. However, this method is not useful for several reasons. primarly, this treatment should be applied to each frog indevidually and this action is accossiated with capturing and applying treatment to the frogs which is not feasible. Besides, this treatment should be applied to new generations as well constantly which will makes the process implausible.
Finaly, although the natural habitates of the frogs is indanger and human's activities are contributed to this fact, we cannot prevent people from using water supplies and other sources which we need for our activities. On the other hand, there is a more significant problem that we should consider instead of water such as global warming. In fact, global warming has evaporated most of the water of many places and the problem of lack of water has emerged because of global warming. Hence, preventing people' activity is unlikely to do with solving frog's problem.
