paper vs electronis devices
n this set of materials, the article and lecture both discuss electronic devices. The writer strongly postulates that using electronic devices might seem convenient than reading newspaper and other paper based materials, but they are associated with harmful effects. However, the lectuer mentions that claims made in the reading are dubious and unconvincing, and gainsays each of them.
The first and foremost, the writer begins by assering that learning through electronic devices impairs critical thinking due to the reason that news are posted by mundane individuals and there is no way to check authenticity. On the other hand, the lecturer dismisses thess points by insisting that information posted in the paper based materials are too limited to supersede them with electronic devices. To be more specific, the news in reading materials are biased and majorly influenced with the opinion of author and newspaper's company. Moreover, electronic devices provides different perspective of a news that actually improves the critical thinkings.
Furthermore, the lecturer posits there is no evidece that bright light of electromagnetic waves causes damage to the brain or other organs. In addition stiffness, headache could easily be caused by reading book too.He further explains that it is a matter of body habits, if humans take continuous breaks by stretching, light exercising, and positioning their screen rightly, they would easily overcome above mentioned problems. These claims clearly refutes the writer implication that electronic devices uses are deteriorating human's eyesight, brain activity and health.
Ultimately, the writer wraps up the arguments by contending that addiction caused by electric devices leads to destroy lingual and nsocial interaction between people. Not surprisingly, the lecturer takes an issue with the claim by contending that social activity is actually enhances by these devices because people are ablke to share their feelings through internet and are able to share their thoughts with each others.
