professors in the television
The passage states that participating in tv programs by university professors is beneficial in some ways and provides three reason of support. However, the lecturer says that it is not useful and refutes each of the reasons.
First, the article explains that professors obtain a great validity and respect in their scientific ground but the lecturer does not confirm this reason by saying that having a program in television have an destructive outcome in professional standpoint because people think that this person is good entertainer not a serious scholar.
Second, the passage claims that universities earn reputation when their professors are shown in the television. The lecturer challenges this explanation and says that attending in a tv program is very time consuming for professors. they need time to travel to prepare the material and for rehearsing thus, wasting time for a university professor is not acceptable for people and it has a negative result.
Third, the reading avers that public learn scientific matters deeply by means more scientific programs with presence of professors. The lecturer claims that this reason is not precise because the material of tv networks could not be about deep academic lectures and they must be about some superficial and brief subjects such as a concise history of a happening.
