In recent years, many frog species around the world have declined in numbers or even gone extinct due to changes in their environment. These population declines and extinctions have serious consequences for the ecosystems in which frogs live.
The reading passage and the listening passage most certainly disagree on just the topic about how to solve the problem of declining frogs populations.
First at all, the reading passage explains that frogs populations have being harmed by pesticides. Laws would prohibited farmers using pesticides near frog populations. On the other hand, the speaker disagree with the methods that I read. Decreasing use of pesticides is not economically practical, that is unfair. Farmers that follow regulations about the use if pesticides could be in severe disadvantage with farmers located far away from frog populations. It would be traduce on lost of more crops, which could take many years to recuperate.
Second, the reading passage discusses the use of an antinfungal medications and treatments with heat to treat a fungus that threatens severally frogs' population. However, the speaker points out that there are a couple of problems with the application of an antifungal medication that prevent fungus spreading all over frogs population. The treatment should be apply to each individual, this is extremely difficult to a large scale. Antifungals application have to continue to apply from one generation to another in order to obtain positive results. It is a complicated and expensive method.
Finally, the article states that frogs' habitats are threatened for human activities. On the other hand, the speaker explains that the real problem causing damages on frogs' habitat is the global warning. Water used in developing areas is not a biggest threat. The water used by humans is unlike to prevent changes on the habitat for global warming.
In sum, by giving all these three reasons the speaker goes against the reading article.
