Some people say that E- books and modern technology will totally replace traditional newspaper and magazines to what extent do you agree or disagree.
Modern technology has changed the way people have access to information. The acceptability of different newspapers and magazines on the internet has encouraged some people to read through a computer or through a laptop. However, some others were not convinced of this new tool. While both have some advantages and disadvantages, I personally prefer to use an E-book to read.
First, an E-book is easy to use and can be carried easily anywhere. Printed newspaper and magazines may sometimes be difficult to be carried into different places and the letters are too small to be read. On the other hand, an E-book , which is always available can serve as a better purpose for readers. For example, I have a short vision problem and sometimes I don't carry my eyeglasses. In such situation, it is easier for me to read with an E-book because I can enlarge the font. Clearly, enlarging the letters allows the person to read without difficulty. Thus, using a palm top instead of a book can serve as an alternative better option.
Secondly, a person can save the information he reads on an E-book. A printed book can some times be lost and it is hard to find. On the other hand, all the information that interests a person can be stored in this new technological device and be available at any time. Moreover, a person can highlight the important information which he or she feels it is important. Thus, time saving may be of valuable importance with the use of such devices.
Finally, an E-book does not tear after being extensively use. Printed material which gets old tend to become worn and fade with time. However, E-books do not have this problem. Using an E-book instead of a printed book allows a person to read an article always as good as new. For instance, many of the old books I have are no more suitable to be read because many it papers are teared apart. generally speaking, I don't feel happy reading a glued book.
In conclusion, people are less inclined to use printed books. Using E-books are more handy, it's letters are clearer to read, and information can stored in the hard disk easily.
