summarize the points made in the lecture about whales not navigation by the stars, being sure to explain how they cast doubt on the specific points made in the reading about whales navigation by the stars.

The reading states that humpback whales can migrate long distances by the stares like early human sailors did and provides three reasons of support. In contrast, the listening asserts this point that these animals use the stares for navigating is very fascinating but none of author's reasons are not conceiving and provides three reasons for casting doubt on it.

First, the passages declares that humpback whales are very intelligent and clever to employ stars to navigate their destination because of their complexity brain. however, the lecture refutes this point by stating that whether there is connection between intelligence and ability navigating by stars. Some birds and even dogs have ability navigating by stars. she mentions that dogs are not astute while they navigate by stars. Therefore, there is not any strong relation between intelligence and that ability.

Second, the author explains that humpback whales migrate in straight line. Notwithstanding, the professor rejects this point by stating that animals use sense in order to detect external forces. these animals produce magnitude field to sense external force. animals can easily recognize this field for protecting themselves. also, this magnitude field are very stronger than navigating by stars.

Third, the reading states that humpback have strange behavior which floating straight up for minutes at a time to look upward and navigate by stars. however, the professor refutes this point by stating that this behavior is very rare. she provides an example of shark to illustrate this point. these animal go up in water in order to look their food and after then hunt them and eat them. also, sharks do not intend to migrate by this behavior. In addition, the professor states that during day stars never be seen.
