The reading and lecturer are both about the continuation of issues created by alchololist despite charging penalty. The author of the reading states the possible solution pertaining to these problems. The professor agrees however he arises the questions towards the stated alternatives made in the article.
First, the author begins by stating that in oder to mitigate alcohol influence, traffic police can enforce the policy of breathe testing. Owing to this, they can easily identify the drunk level and enact punishment as per driving law. The professor believes these sound great merely on paper yet this does not guarantee there will be decrement in alcohol impact.
Secondly, according to the writing, standard procedure can be applied such as officer could conduct the test of suspicion by observing the tell tale sign unless they accepted them as guilty. The speaker on other hand points out that this does not seem to be fair for instance, a person might slurd either of their physical illness or they actually had consumed alcohol. In addition, they have to confer legal justification otherwise there will be elevating in police abuse over innocent one.
Finally, the reading passage also notes that random checking might work for real for retaining public safety. Additionally, there has been instance of profound imapct of plummeting in accidents stemmed from drunkers. The professor corroborates that indeed this has proved to be effective. Yet, he points out that is it really essential for such outcome?
As we can see, the professor is in favor of author to some extent yet he has some doubts regarding to his stated solutions.
