TPO-02 - Integrated Writing Task In many organizations, perhaps the best way to approach certain new projects is to assemble a group of people into a team. Having a team of people attack a project offers several advantages. First of all, a group of people

The reading and the passage are both about the efficiency of working as a group. The author of the reading states that woking in group is more likely to get the work done faster and also encourage the individuals to contribute more to the project. The lecturer casts doubt on the claims made by the author. She belives that group working is not as efficient as mentioned in the reading.

First off all, the reading says that the more members participating in the group, the faster the work will be done. He believes that the diversity of knowlegde and expertise of each person in the group will yield better solutions to enhance to work speed. This point is challenged by the lecturer. She thinks that the variety of ideas presented in the group will hamper the process of reaching to conclusion. Futhermore, she conclude with fact that working group take more time to finalize their ideas and delayed the workflow.

Secondly, the author claims that the individual working in group is more easy to express his or her opinion, and more likely to shined or acknowlegded once their ideas were accepted. He suggests that with the help of the group, eventhough the ideas of how to proceed sound risky, is much easier to get approved. The lecturer casts doubt on the point made by the author. She is the opinion that this is much more harder for the individual in the group to get acknowlegde and approved. Under the infullence of other high-rank member, the idea presented by that person could be ignored or rejected. Even if the idea was approved, the credit will goes to all the member of the team, but not the one who comes up with it.
