The author states that establishing a group of people working on a same project has some advantages compared conducting the project individually. However, the professor contradicts with this perspective by presenting the company's outcome after 6 months.
First of all, not all of the members in the group contributes to the project equally and even some individuals take free rides. Regarding the benefits that the author mentions which individual can shine in the group activity, the professor mentions that all the positive feedback and benefits will count on the whole group rather than every member of the group.
In addition, the professor says that the results show that the project has not progressed quickly in contradict to what the text states. In the group activity, there are a lot of meetings and reaching to consensus is hard. Even, some individuals dropped of the project as they were very influential.
Finally, some creative ideas were not taken into account according to the outcome revealed 6 months later. Professor states that some members ignore the novel and creative ideas of others which leads to the failure of the project. This also leads that project has not gone forward. Consequently, the blame of this fail was on all members of the group and individuals were held responsible for this failure. This contradicts to what the author mentions that in these circumstances no single individual are held accountable.
