In this set of materials, both, lecture passage and reading passage are discussing the twins and identical and fraternal twins in specific, the influence of nature and genes in behavior and personality. Nevertheless; the listening and reading passages are completely contradictory. Whereas the reading passage puts forward the view that principally genes play an important role in behavior and personality the listening argue that researchers forgot some details.

First of all, the listening casts doubt on the information in the reading passage due to the fact that usually both fraternal twins and identical twins, the majority are put in the same environment, that explains why both groups have the same characteristics and develop a similar personality. So, even the genetic factor has an important impact, they ignored to consider the fact that both groups are setting in the same environment and as result the individuals are similar.

However, the reading passage develops the claim that fraternal and identic twins have the same characteristics due to the fact that they are emerging in the same ambient, familiar, school, and their experiences do not vary a lot. For that reasons, the principal factor that determines similitude between twins is the environment and not only the genetic heritability.
