TPO-12 - Integrated Writing Task Jane Austen (1775-1817) is one of the most famous of all English novelists, and today her novels are more popular than ever, with several recently adapted as Hollywood movies. But we do not have many records of what she lo

This article states that Jane Austen who is a famous novelist, her full portrait was made by the professional painting and her family says that this is her picture when she was a teenage girl and passage provides three reasons for support. However, the professor explains that he was not convinced by the portrait of Jane Austen as a teenager which was made by professionals and refutes each of the author's reasons.

First of all, the reading claims that Austen's family gave permission to portrait her painting and recognized that the girl in the painting is Austen. The professor refutes this point by saying that the family gave permission in the year 1882. But Austen died before 70 years where her family members have never seen her.

Secondly, the article posits that Cassandra's drawing clearly resembles the face of Austen in the portrait. However, the professor says that Austen's family is large and don't know who painted her face. According to the professor, the picture in the painting may be Austen's niece.

Thirdly, the reading says that even though there is no sign or date on the painting there is a proof that it was done by Ozias Humphrey when Austin was a teenager. The professor opposes this point by explaining that the Humphrey started selling the portraits when the girl was at the age 27. He states that Humphrey is older than the girl who is in the painting.
