The reading article and lecture talks about buzzing- an advertisement technique to hire ordinary people to promote products. The passage points out three disadvantages of buzzing. The speaker who works as a buzzer, contests all the claims presented in the text.

First, the reading avers that, consumers should know that the buzzers are getting paid to praise the products. Sometimes paid advertisement may spread incorrect information. The guest lecturer refutes this claim and points out that, buzzers are ordinary people and are not like paid actors. Even though they get benefited to promote the products; buzzers tell their own personal experiences when they use the actual products. They will promote the products only if the product is true to its promise. They tell their true experiences.

Next, the text argues that, buzzers don't reveal their identity as paid advertisers and unknowingly consumers get lobbied and it can be harmful to consumers. However, the speaker refutes the argument and states that, people ask lot of questions about products and if buzzers do not give satisfactory information then people will not buy the products. So consumers do not take buzzers words blindly and but products.

Lastly, the article posits that, buzzing will harm social relationships and people will lose trust in general. The speaker, ridicules the assumption that the buzzing will harm civilization. He further adds that, buzzers will promote only genuine products and people will get a good experience and that will promote more trust and people will be open to more people.

In conclusion, the speaker rejects all the claims presented in the reading and stresses that the claims are misleading and give wrong impression about buzzing.
