Scholars believe that there are three reasons why the Little Ice Age, unusually cold temperature in vast parts of the world about the year 1350 until 1900C.E, happened. But the professor explains that none of the ideas that reading explains is true and its information is out of date.

Disrupting ocean current is the first reason for the Little Ice Age. the author says that before the Little Ice Age, a warmer climated melted glacier and added a number of water in to the Gulf Stream and disrupt them. This disruption has caused the Little Ice Age. In contrast, the listening explains that the disrupting of Gulf Stream just affect on the Europ and North America and it can not explains why the Little Ice Age happened in the southern hemisphere of the earth.

In addition, the reading shows that in part of the earth because of the volcanic eruption, which sends dark clouds into the atmosphere, sunlight was blocked, so the earth's temperature decreased and at the end created the Little Ice Age. Although dust was made by volcano erupt produce various things such as colorful sunset, there are no reports that say these cases happened in the past. So The lecture rejects the claim of the reading.

finally, because of humans' negative rate, the agriculture lands were alternated with forest trees, which able to absorbing CO2 of the climate and finally lead to decreasing the temperature. The lecturer thinks that forest tree does not enough time to absorb Dixod carbon since the growing population in the past needed more food, they cut trees.

In sum, the reading passage shows some important reasons for the Little Ice Age, while the listening passage refute them
