TPO-27 - Integrated Writing Task The little ice age was a period of unusually cold temperature in many parts of the world that lasted from about the year 1350 until 1900CE. There were unusually harsh winters, and glaciers grew larger in many areas. Scient

The passage discusses that the little ice age was a period of cold temperature and provides three reasons about its cause. However, the professor refutes all these three reasons by stating that these ideas are out of date.
First, the passage claims that there is a possibility that distruption of ocean currents was the cause of the little ice age. The passage rejects this idea and explains that these disruptions only caused to decrease in the temperature of some parts of the world such as Europe. so, this reason is not acceptable.
Second, the text argues that volcanic eruptions created the ice age. IN contrast, the lecture rejects this concept by describing that only a large omunt of dusts could block the sun, but there are no reports of these amount of dust. As you can see, the mentioned reason in the article is unconvincing.
Third, the passage asserts that substantial decrease in human population is one reason that contributes to the cooling of the climate. while the professor explains that decrease in the uman population ws just temporary and after a while the population was increased. so, by increasing their population they started to clear the forest to cultivate different plants. As a result, the amount of greenhouse gas increased, again. Finally, we can say that the mentiones reason in the article is not true, and it is just nonsense.
