He puts forth the idea that the weight in Tom's trip was much less than Peary's journey because there was no food, as he had received the food by airplane. Furthermore, Tom's trip was in a high favorable weather conditions, unlike the other one.
Third, the article suggests that by measuring the sun's position using shadows in Peary's photographs, it was found that it has the same position in the same day that it should have been at the North Pole. Conversely, the speaker discusses that the technical scientist who calculated the sun's position using shadows, was not accurate. She elaborates on this by mentioning that the one hundred years old primitive camera that was used by Peary had unfocused, fussy photos, which made the shadow blurred and faint, Consequently, we cannot trust those for accuracy.
