In this set of materials the reading passage discusses that the coins that found in the North America not actually related to the Europian people but it was place with someone to confusinig and misleding archelogist. While the professor in the listening casts doubts on what is presented in the text and believes that a lot of archologist beliefs that this evidence is not fake and there is a evidence that substantated relationship of this coins with Europien people.
First of all, in the text it is clearly mentioned that the coin was found in the place that very far from other site that documented that Norse people presented. However, the professor claims that it is completely possible that ppeople travel great distence for trade and cameback and this people had this ability to done this travel.
In addition, the professor disagrees with this idea that because of no other coin have not been found in the Canadian sites so it is shows that this coin is not good evidence. She says that it is not neccesary to pac up and placed it in the canadian sitte. It is possible that they pike up it and after that cameback it by themselves.
Finally, yet importantly, in the text it is stated that the native American people did not used from the Europin coins so presence of silver coin in this area is incridible. The professor subscribes that it is possible that this coins had have another used for this native people for example it was attractive for them because of stuning and beuty and the Norse people used it because of its beuty for trade with native people.
