In this set of materials, the reading section discusses the methods that can be applied to prevent the frogs from extinction, while the listening part casts doubt on what presented in the text by refusing the reasons mentioned in the article.
First of all, the lecture posits that if several laws prohibited farmers from pesticides, it would help to cut their negative effect on the frog’s population. In contrast, the professor underlines the fact that limiting pesticide on agricultural production does not benefit economically. In fact, she explains that since the farmers mostly rely on the pesticide to increase their crop yield, by forbidden pesticide in the area close to the frogs, the farmers easily lose the market, therefore they cannot gain reasonable profit in their affair.

Finally, although the article states that if the water of frog’s inhabitant is protected of excessive use, they would survive, the instructor subscribes to the view that this way does not play a key role on their survival. Whereas global warming is the most important threaten for decreasing the water of wetlands which appears in recent decades.
