The passage discusses about why yellow frogs population is decreasing and attributes this phenomenal to a fungus, Then, Provides three separate solution for this problem.
The lecturer, On the other hand, refutes each of these solutions by giving different perspective.
First, The reading utters that introducing a bacterial that is worse nightmare for fungus will solve the problem since they produce unpleasant chemical preventing fungus to land on frogs. However, the professor denies this argument by saying that this solution will not work simply due to short term effects of bacteries , temporary solution since they don’t live for long period.
Second, passage suggest preserving frogs in controlled manner so they are safe from fungus in wildlife.
The lecturer does not agree with this either. She says that after releasing frogs once again into the nature the other infected creatures would transmit their disease to them ,therefore, all have been done will be pointless.
Third, passage notifies although frogs have established self defence mechanism by heating away fungus but the professor enlights its drawback by saying that it takes a lot of energy from them thereby they would be vulnerable to other source of mortalities so this solution is not promising as it might seem.
