The reading suggest that having a team of people benifits a lot in many organizations. However, the professor in the lecture did not agree with this idea. The professor believe that having a group may not have so many advantages as the reading said.
At the beginning, the reading indicated that the organization with a team of people can make decision more quickly than other organizations for a wider range of knowledge, expertise,and skills. On the contrary, the professor said it is rigid to believe a group of people can make decision effectively because the team members may have so many different ideas and they will not reach a consensus very quickly.
Then, the reading support that members may feel good for their participation in a group precess. But the professor query that those talent members cannot receive enough rewards for the achievements is owned by the whole team.The mistakes individuals made are also need thw whole team afford.
At the last, he reading believe that the group can make creative decisions for individuals having more chance to show their idea. The professor contraddiced that individuals may be ignored by the team members who are very influencial in the team.
