The lecture and article are both about the source of quackers, which is a strange sound is detected by submarines' sonar. The teacher disagrees with the ideas which are mentioned in the reading for the following reasons.
First of all, the trouble of the sound is produced from Orca. The professor says that producing the sound by this animal is plausible because those regions have a lot of a number of ocra. On the other hand, it is unlikely because Ocra lives near the water surface and submarine stays in deep of the ocean. It is too hard to detect ocra sound by sonar However, The reading asserts that this sound is produced by male ocra.
Secondly, The issue of producing the sound by gaint squids. The lecturer states that this creature is disappeared for 2 decades. It was live till 1960 but disappear to 1980. Thus, the sound stays detects by sonar even though when those creatures are not found. In oppose, the reading says that those animals produce this sound.
Finally, the problem of Military technology. The teacher mentions that this sound always changes in direction. and did not have engine sound. As a result, this sound does not come from advanced building technology Because no technology could produce quickly change in direction of sounds and silent machine.
