The reading passage explores the issues of handling and storing coal ash, and several reasons are offered in support of this argument. However, the lecturer casts doubt on it and contradicts it for the following reasons.
First of all, even though the reading passage suggests that environmental regulations already exist, the lecturer argues that liner is not effective. This is because new island and drinking water are damaged, which means the chemical object are sustained. Obviously. the lecturer's argument disproves its counterpart in the reading.
Secondly, the statement held by the writer claims that discourage the recycling of coal ash into other products. Nonetheless, it is argued in the listening that mercury are storing and recycling. The lecturer gives the truth that it is been 15 years and nothing happen.
Last but not least, the lecturer acutely identifies the weakness in the reading passage that costs of disposal and handling. The lecturer convincingly points out that extra cost will be 15 billion; moreover, in order to establish a solid and concrete statement, she offers the example that even though 15 billion seems a lot, but it only cost company avenue 1 percent.
