In this set of material, the article explains three main theories about how the agnosids which were a group of marine animals and became extinct, lived and ate, while the listening section casts doubt about the information presented in the listening and believes that these theories are not convincing enough.
First of all, the reading section states that the agnosids were free-swimming predators. In contrast, the constructor makes the point that it is probable they were on the open ocean. She describes why they are more likely to be open ocean swimming. In fact, she explains that predator needs to have large and well-developed eyes to catch the food under the ocean. On the other hand, agnostids not only did not have this kind of eyes, but also they were blind. This evidence dismisses this idea that they were predators.
In addition, the professor disagrees with the idea that angostids inhabited on the seafloor, and she implies that they had not the ability to swim swiftly. She mentions several examples to illustrate this hypothesis. She adds that there were many small creatures on the seafloor which swam fast, and since Agnostids swam slowly they were not able to catch them. Moreover, she highlights that they were multi-geographic dwellers and moved one area to other one.
Finally, although the passage posits that the agnosids were parasites, the talker specifies that there were not large population of agnostide, and there were certain limit about them. Specifically, she elaborates by saying that they killed out host organics. In addition, she cites the study about this to clear her idea. The fossil evidences rule out this idea.
