The bar chart shows the results of a survey conducted by a personnel department. The survey was carried out on two groups of workers: those aged 18-30 and those aged 45-60,and shows factors affecting their work performance.
The bar chart shows data on the number of employees influenced by various factors in two age groups: 18-30 and 45-60. It can be clearly seen that the younger workers were more easily influenced than the older ones.
To begin with, personal development opportunities, working environment and job prospects were the three main causes of changing work performance, with approximately 95 people affected by the first cause and 80 people influenced by the last two causes. In contrast, the majority of people aged 45 to 60 was most likely to be affected by money (70 people). An identical number of people in both age groups were concerned with team spirit (60 people), competent boss and job satisfaction (50 people), or work environment (30 people). A moderate number of 40 people at the aged of 18 to 30 let job security affect their work performance, which was double the number of those aged 45-60. Respect from coworkers was the only category in which the 45-60 workers outnumber those aged 18-30.
In conclusion, while job prospects was more likely to affect the younger age group, monetary matter and colleagues respect were the most influential to the older one.
