migrate dinosaur
The passage asserts that a type of dinosaurs named Edmontosaurus have migrated to the North Slope and provides three reasons of support. The professor, on the contrary, repudiates this point and rejects the mentioned reasons provided by the passage.
First, the article states that Edmontosaurus had feed on plant. since in the winter they had migrated to the warmer zones to find food. The lecturer debunks this point by saying that in the summer Edmontosaurus were in the warm areas which there were a plenty of plant and vegetation, since in the winter they feed on the dead vegetation, so there was no need to migrate to other regions.
Second, the discovered Edmontosaurus' s skeletons reveal that they had migrated in herd like other animal such as caribou and buffalo, according to the reading. The professor casts doubt o this view by explaining that migrating in her does not necessarily means that Edmontosaurus migrated to the other regions. She also states that there are other possible reasons for living herd, and one of them is to protect the herd from predators. She provided an example of one type of elk which live in herd, but never migrate.
Third, the author of the passage claims that ability to move fast and physical power help Edmontosaurus to reach more suitable region. The lecture disavows this idea by reasoning that the juveniles were not able to move fast, since they were incapable physically and they often move slowly, if they move to North Slople they left behind and no longer survive in the cold region.
in the warm areas which there were a plenty of plant and vegetation,
in the warm areas where there were a plenty of plants and vegetations,
claims that ability to move fast
claims that the ability to move fast
