Gross Domestic Product in the UK
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
The chart shows components of GDP in the UK from 1992 to 2000.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
The pie chart compares the generation of gross domestic products from two different industries as IT and Service industry from 1992 to 2000 in the UK and the units are measured in percentage. Overall what stands out from the graph is that both industries had increased products but IT was considerably higher than the Service throughout the whole time period mentioned in the question.
To begin with, in 1992, products from the IT stood at 6 percent. However, following two years, there was a significant increase to around 8 %, which was almost as close as in the year 1996 at around 7.8%. Although there was a minimal drop in 1996, the rate rose rapidly to 12 percent in the next two years and further rising markedly to approximately around 14.5% at the end of the period.
With regards to a second industry, beginning the period at 4 percent, it witnessed sudden jump to just over 6 percent in 1994. Nevertheless, for the rest of the period, there was gradual increase in the rate, eventually finishing at 8 percent, which was nowhere as close as IT in 2000.
